Application Specification

What has been achieved

The most important motorcycle-relevant C-ITS Applications have been defined by CMC.
A total of 19 applications are described in-depth, with their corresponding use-case descriptions. Also technical flow and conditions are defined.
These applications are grouped into three categories:
1. “See and be seen by others”: Applications which indicate to the other driver that specifically a motorcycle is approaching.
Note: These applications are also categorised under the name of "Motorcycle Approach Information / Motorcycle Approach Warning" (MAI/MAW).
2. “Be aware of the unexpected”: Applications that inform about unusual situations like emergency braking, road works, traffic jams, emergency vehicles etc.
3. “Ride with less stress”: Applications that support the rider in the normal traffic flow, thereby (slightly) improving comfort and reducing stress levels.
